Formerly a tech discussion group, Hackathon Hackers (also known as HH) is now a meme hub and overall great place for social commentary. As a result of the restructuring of the admin team leaving only one active admin, the quality of the group has declined due to an inability to keep up with many posts being made, as well as stalled progress on new admin elections and adoption of HackBot, a moderation tool.
HX is a purist splinter group which existed prior to the admin team restructuring, but gained much more popularity as a result due to its roots in democratic moderation and an emphasis on quality discussion and reasonable but tight moderation.
